LDE(X)6.05 - 'The Box of Delights'
LDE(X)6.05 is being used as a development series for LDE(X)6.1, scheduled for stable release towards Q4 of 2003.
19 August 2003 :
The final alpha state build, the update from LDE(X)6.05 build 3640 to build 3641 is now here (55 KB) [md5 : 880718eefd542bd980bfcb849633ae07]. This holds a few bug fixes, improves the ease of configuration for the desktop shortcuts and has an updated taskbar component. Beta 1 will arrive in September with the new PDF manual and the video tutorials and should be hosted on sourceforge as well :). Beta 2 will ship in October and Beta 3 in November with the release intended for December 2003.
18 August 2003 :
An update from LDE(X)6.05 build 3635 to build 3640 is now here (115 KB) [md5 : a5c57c9b1fa25e8c3c8cdc84ce3e46b9]. This upgrade to LDE(X)6.05 incorporates the WiSH modification that exploits OS-hosted scripting to eliminate the old batch files used in earlier releases. This is third party code, tested to work within this build, but I don't fully understand the code as it stands at the moment. Additionally, there are a couple of bug fixes, some minor cleanups in the LiteStep-native code and an updated system tray module to round off this update.

An update from LDE(X)6.05 build 3630 to build 3635 is now here (58 KB) [md5 : 0cee3243c4bd2a1efe95a4d4bda0569e]. This contains some bug fixes, an updated systray module, and updated German translations. Updated on 4th August so please redownload and reapply to either build 3630 or 3635 since a file was missed
27 July 2003 :
An update from LDE(X)6.05 build 3625 to build 3630 is now here (288 KB) [md5 : d915fe5d8b5d36fbde65a986db71ad29]. This contains some bug fixes for the progress appearance scripts, an updated systray module, a revised environment startup script and an iCal look for rainlendar.
A fresh full installer build is now available here (5.8 MB) [md5 : 2628fe5bd41858d2f4303def2a1f60df]. Build 3600 is no longer available due to this release.
24 July 2003 :
Two new updates - they both require manual replacement of the panels\gadgets\taskbar3.box and panels\launcher\background.box files in each user's LDEData\X6\Ermintrude folder. This is due to lack of time on my part to write code to automate these updates.
An update from LDE(X)6.05 build 3601 to build 3620 is now here (133 KB) [md5 : 25503d3db1adf35284f99ee0d8134d3e]. This build provides features that allow the taskbar to be integrated into the panel launcher in several different ways whilst fully retaining autohide/autoraise/panel z-order and panel visibility/workspace dimension preferences. The icon plugin is positioned better now, but is still far from working and may be pulled out in the next build.
An update from LDE(X)6.05 build 3620 to build 3625 is now here (123 KB) [md5 : 6ffbe94d61be0fbd6c90083b733ae933]. This build introduces a new system tray and a host of single panel mode related fixes. New gadgets have also been added to the taskbar which itself has seen its layout code significantly refined.

An update from LDE(X)6.05 build 3600 to build 3601 is now here (120 KB) [md5 : b789865cfdbbbac138a243e726bed74e]. There are a multitude of refinements that should make this interesting - including a tweak to resolve a problem with the multiple language support in build 3600.
